Gravity Launcher attack

Rock Falls, Everyone Dies

Gravity Launcher attack marks the point at which the awakened stone stops merely possessing gravity and begins composing with it. The ability emerges from a philosophical realization: gravity is not confined to a large celestial body, but exists everywhere, linking rocks, gravel, orbiters, and larger worlds in a continuous field of mutual influence. The attack therefore represents both a combat technique and a new way of understanding the stone’s place in the cosmos.

Discovery of the Gravitational Field

The stone’s breakthrough begins while it studies the rocks moving around it. It had previously assumed that only the larger body at the center of the system attracted orbiters, but its Qi tendrils reveal a more pervasive arrangement. Every floating rock, however small, exerts influence on the objects around it. Rocks, gravel, and orbiters pull at one another in complex patterns, tracing what the narrative presents as a dance across the stars. Scale determines the strength of the effect, not its existence; gravity is everywhere and in everything.

This recognition changes the stone’s understanding of itself. It is not merely a passive object being carried through space. It is also the hill or celestial body at the center of its own limited domain, influencing other matter even though its size and power remain small. The insight produces a philosophical breakthrough and raises the stone to Cultivator Level 8. The attack is thus born from cognition before it is used in battle: the stone first learns that the field already belongs partly to every rock within it.

Formation of the Orbital Weapon

The newly gained ability is called Gravity Launcher. Its stated function is to manipulate gravity with Qi and launch an object toward a desired location. Rather than testing it immediately, the stone continues extending its awareness through the gravitational canvas. It uses that perception to shape long, powerful trajectories into three concentric rings, each slightly offset from the others by a small angle.

The surrounding Meteor Shower gradually gathers into these rings. At first the meteors, rocks, and gravel move slowly, like an uncertain dancer beginning a first performance. As the arrangement stabilizes, their speed and momentum increase. The projectiles spin around the motionless stone, which occupies the center of the formation in serene meditation. The contrast is essential to the technique: the stone itself has no speed, yet it has learned to organize velocity around its body and to turn the movement of other matter into a controlled extension of its will.

First Launch

Once the orbiting formation is established, the stone reaches for Gravity Launcher. It selects one of the larger rocks in the outermost ring and activates the skill. The projectile is launched at 70 m/s, careening into the distance. Through the gravitational field, the stone senses the strength of the shot and recognizes the ability as a potent weapon.

The launch is more than a single act of propulsion. The stone has transformed a surrounding swarm into an arsenal, arranged that arsenal into stable rings, and then chosen one object from the outermost circuit for a directed strike. The method combines scale, momentum, and spatial control. A body that once could do little more than fall now determines where another body will go.

Destruction of the Anomalous Target

The attack becomes deliberate combat when the stone detects a small scouting drone. It immediately understands that the object is wrong for the solar system of levels and classifies it instinctively as something that does not belong. Gravity Launcher is activated again, this time launching a projectile at 92 m/s.

The target attempts to evade the incoming rock, but the stone uses its domain with greater precision than in the first test. It paints a valley of gravity for the projectile, creating a path that continually guides the shot toward the fleeing object. The drone cannot escape. The projectile strikes and crushes it, destroying the intruder as soon as the stone decides that it must be destroyed. The attack produces no experience, but that absence does not diminish its tactical importance: the stone has demonstrated that it can identify an alien presence, predict its movement, and impose a fatal gravitational route upon it.

Significance and Consequences

Gravity Launcher crystallizes the stone’s transformation from an object acted upon by the world into an actor capable of redirecting the world’s matter. Earlier limitations had exposed the narrowness of its awareness: it could not account for sound, and it once misread a motionless rabbit as an inferior target before the animal simply dodged. Gravity Launcher answers that weakness through expanded perception. The stone no longer relies only on direct motion or a fixed view of its surroundings; it senses relationships across a domain and uses those relationships to make distant matter move.

The attack also gives physical form to the stone’s growing scale of thought. The same insight that makes a pebble, a planet, and a star fundamentally comparable now becomes a fighting method. Differences of size and power remain real, but they do not erase participation in the same gravitational order. By arranging meteors into rings and sending one along a guided valley, the stone turns that order into both weapon and artwork. Its violence is controlled through pattern, and its power depends on understanding connection rather than escaping it.
